“When I came to Wagner, I was an aspiring alpine ski racer. At the time I was on the development team of the Canadian Disabled Apine Ski Team, with the goal of making the World Cup team. I realized that I had to take a big step and do something for my career. I started training with Wagner that summer. After a summer of intensive training, I arrived at our first on-snow training camp a new person. My coaches noticed the minute they saw me how hard I had worked all summer. My physical appearance alone had changed drastically. That season was my best competitive season I had ever had. At the end of the season, I was asked to join the World Cup team. Since training with Wagner, I have had more career bests than I ever thought possible. Being a disabled athlete definitely adds a different element to my training and is a challenge for Wagner. But he has met that challenge. Without his expertise, I would have never been able to make the World Cup team and qualify for the 2006 Winter Paralympics that same year! He has invested a lot of time and creative energy into developing a program and training regime specifically for me, and is undoubtedly the best strength and conditioning coach that I have ever worked with.”

"I am starting to train more specifically for running as my race is coming up at the end of May. It’s a 15km up a mountain, I finished in the top five last year with a time of 1:06:21. I feel with your class behind me, I will be able to crack the top three this year and am planning to take off at least 3 minutes from last years time. (UPDATE: Marc has indeed achieved his goal with a time of 1:02:49)

What I have noticed since taking your class:
My stride length has improved, specifically while hill running, I figure this is from all the lower-ab and hip flexor work we focused on. My stride is more dynamic, my knees are lifting higher without any additional effort.

I haven’t had this much power since I was training for the 400m. I feel this is really going to benefit me in race situations when the race pace suddenly changes either when someone breaks away from the pack or when it come time to make a move myself. I will have an extra gear to depend on.

My speed endurance (V02 Max)is way ahead of this time last year during my training period. Though I found the pace of your training challenging, I never would have guessed the impact it would have on my speed endurance. Also, what I am finding is that I am recuperating very quickly and able to train at a higher level.

In short I wanted to say thank you, because your course helped keep my motivation up during the hardest period of the year training-wise Jan-Feb..., and has brought my fitness back up to a level I haven’t felt since I was training for track."
